Reading A Writer, 2019

A paper performance in collaboration with Patrick Lichty

Performed for the Worldwide reading for freedom of expression,  International Literature Festival Berlin 2019

Live performance on Instagram and Facebook live, by mobile phone on 11 September 2020, to draw attention to the fate of imprisoned or missing authors and human rights activists. The call has been supported by more than 100 authors worldwide include Margaret Atwood, Noam Chomsky, and the Nobel Prize winners Elfriede Jelinek, Wole Soyinka, Orhan Pamuk, and Herta Muller. Performing micro theater and reading the text by Ahmet Altan, the Turkish author, and journalist who was arrested for his articles in 2016 and later along with his brother Mehmet, was sentenced to life imprisonment. From prison, he wrote notes, giving to his lawyer, under the title "I Will Never See the World Again".
